What started out as a nice but relatively uninteresting announcement about Wi-Fi coming to the BlackBerry Tour by next year suddenly became a lot more interesting today. While Virgin Mobile isn’t the biggest name in the American cell phone industry, it has steadily been making a dent among consumers in the US with its prepaid model. Of course, that may or may not be the reason Sprint just bought them out.

The US of A won another title, but not in anything prestigious like the Olympics or Chess Boxing or even a Hot Dog Eating Contest. No, this title carries a badge of shame (and hopefully consumer outrage). The United States of America has won the distinction of having the most expensive cell phone bills in the world.
